A truly magical place! Everything about this place was great. Location, clean, well-appointed, comfortable, private, tasteful., and had. spectacular views! The place is impeccably clean, well organized and had everything we needed. The beds and linens are great. If you are looking for a chill and relaxing spot-this is the perfect place to land. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Wow! What a spectacular getaway. We just spent a long weekend that I wish we could have extended a couple more days. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the view is incredible both day and night. We slept in the upstairs bedroom and it was so comfortable. Our dogs loved sitting on the deck staring at the woods. We went to the vineyard down the mountain and really enjoyed it. The kitchen is well stocked which was nice since we cooked the whole time. Definitely bring groceries because you’re not going to want to leave!
Plenty of books, games, puzzles and a giant TV kept us occupied on the day we had foggy weather. Andrew checked in with us to make sure we were happy which was very nice. Can’t say enough good things about this place, we would definitely stay again. Thanks, Andrew!

“Our stay on the mountain was one of our favorite vacations to date! The views were absolutely incredible, the house was very clean (cleaner than any other AirBnb that we've stayed in!) and well taken care of, and it had pretty much anything that we could want. It is a long drive up the mountain to get to the house, but it's so worth it. I was really impressed by how clean the house was. We explored the surrounding area during the day - the location is a realistically closer to Dyke than to Free Union, but there is a nice Forest Preserve nearby. In the early evening each night, we went for a peaceful walk along the road, with gorgeous views around every turn. We have a seven and a five year old who had a blast - there were a few games and puzzles there, and after long days of walking we all enjoyed relaxing watching TV or a campfire. Andrew was a great host who provided lots of helpful information - we would highly recommend staying here!

“Drew’s cabin is the perfect spot to rest and recharge. Filled with everything you could want for comfort from the perfect host. The 3 mile gravel road was a fun adventure, melting all our worries away. We loved the large screened in porch and deck top swing, the windows framing beautiful landscapes and the perfect fire-pit to enjoy the night. The well stocked coffee bar, perfect kitchen and large sectional sofa made our family stay so fun and enjoyable. Enjoy a walk down the road for more beautiful views. The weekend we went was mostly rainy and cold, but the gas “wood burning” stove made the stay so cozy. It was our favorite part. We want to buy one! We are already checking our calendar to plan our next visit. The you Drew!”

“This was an amazing stay! Drew paid attention to all of the little details that hosts can sometimes forget about. The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessary cookware and utensils, the interior design made it feel homey and looks great, and the coffee bar was an experience I had never had before at an AirBnb and it was simply amazing! We had great weather 2 out of 3 nights and the views and sunsets are spectacular. This was such a nice reset for me and my family. GREAT Cabin! 10/10 would recommend and will be staying here again in the future.”

“This property is nestled into one of the highest peaks in the area. The views are spectacular and cannot be done justice by pictures. The design flare was eclectic and allowed for maximum relaxation while enjoying the views. The coffee bar and record area are particularly impressive. The porch swing on the second level deck is an amazing place to have a glass a wine and watch the sun go down. The road up to cabin is manageable in a front wheel drive car but make sure to remain attentive. Drew is an amazing host who's very responsive and helpful.”

Absolutely incredible view. Extremely peaceful area and the cozy space you’re looking for. Perfect to take in some nature or to make s’mores and watch cabin-themed horror movies at night. A family of deer even walked through the property within minutes of our arrival. Andrew made the process seamless and simple from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Absolutely loved our stay here. It had beautiful views during the day and night as well. We took advantage of the fire pit and did some star gazing off the top deck as well. Kitchen was fully stocked and the stay was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

An incredible place to stay! The drive up the mountain is no joke, but once you get there, the views and house make it worth it! Having two decks, a screened-in porch, a fire pit, and all the outdoor space made relaxing here so enjoyable. The house was well-stocked with everything you'd need in the kitchen. The house also has plenty of games, books, blankets, and more to feel at home. Because you are at the top of the mountain, you will have to plan on taking time to drive to any hikes or other destinations, but again, the views make it worth it. Sunrise and sunset visible from the house. Would definitely stay here again!

“Expectations were high, this place is literally on TOP of the mountain, and it then EXCEEDED those expectations. Great host, superb communications and explanations, one of the best places I've experienced! Make sure you are comfortable driving up steep gravel roads. The view was unbelievable, at least 70 miles of vista. We'll come back!”
